Weinzapfel to Lead Women’s Fund Grants Committee

Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson & Schmitt LLP Chief Operating Officer Kerrie Weinzapfel will serve as Chairman of the Women’s Fund of Vanderburgh County Grants Committee for 2021. The Women’s Fund of Vanderburgh County boasts more than 250 members and focuses the efforts of women philanthropists to create positive social change by collectively funding charitable endeavors that address significant needs in our community. This endowment was created to address the changing needs and priorities in our community by building a long-term, permanent investment resource to provide funding and support. The Women’s Fund Endowment is currently valued at over $1,600,000.

The Grants Committee works with the Vanderburgh County Foundation and non-profits during the grant cycle. The committee reviews all applications, determines 12 semifinalists, conducts site reviews with all semi-finalists and determines the 6 finalists. Women’s Fund Members then vote for the finalists, with the Women’s Fund awarding two major grants of $35,000 each.
