Legal Alert: New EEOC Required Poster
On October 18, 2022, the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced that a new “Know Your Rights” poster has been released. The new poster updates and replaces the previous poster that was titled, “EEO is the Law.” A link to the new poster can be found here. As with the prior poster, federal law requires covered employers to display the poster at work in a prominent location. More details on the location for display of the poster as well as digital versions of the poster and a version of the poster in Spanish can be found on the EEOC’s website here.
The poster summarizes Federal laws prohibiting job discrimination and explains how employees or applicants can file a complaint if they believe that they have faced discrimination by an employer or potential employer.
