Associate Jozie Barton Joins Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson & Schmitt LLP
Farmer Scott Ozete Robinson & Schmitt LLP is pleased to announce our continued growth, with the addition of associate attorney Jozie M. Barton. A native of Gibson County, Jozie graduated from Gibson Southern High School.
Jozie earned a Bachelor of Arts with Highest Distinction in English and a Bachelor of Arts with Highest Distinction in Criminal Justice from Indiana University. During her undergraduate career, she earned several awards and honors, including English Department Valedictorian, Executive Dean’s List, the James A. Work Prize, the Robert Stumpner Outstanding Senior Award, and a Founders Scholar. She served on the College of Arts + Sciences Committee for Undergraduate Education, the Provost’s Task Force for the Committee for Fee Review, and the 2017 Committee for Fee Review.
She earned her law degree at the Indiana University Mauer School of Law. Her law school experience includes an externship for Judge Edward W. Najam, Jr., an internship with Judge Peter R. Foley, and service as a Research Assistant to Professor Kenneth G. Dau-Schmidt. She was a managing editor for Volume 97 of the Indiana Law Journal and served as a mentor to first year law students. She also participated in student government as the Health and Wellness Officer and was the Philanthropy Chair for the Adams Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity.
Jozie’s practice is focused on corporate law and litigation and providing legal counsel to business owners.
