Indiana Tax Amnesty 2026

The Indiana Department of Revenue has launched a Tax Amnesty Eligibility Tool so that individuals can see if they qualify for tax amnesty. The amnesty program will run from July 15th to September 9th, 2026. If deemed eligible, taxpayers will be able to pay certain overdue taxes, while also being able to receive a waiver of penalties, interest, and collection fees. According to the Indiana Department of Revenue, the program will apply to existing tax liabilities for all listed tax types managed by the Department of Revenue or Motor Carrier Services for periods prior to January 1st, 2024. To see if you are eligible for amnesty, you must log in to INTIME at taxamnesty.in.gov. The Department of Revenue or the United Collection Bureau will also contact taxpayers directly to alert them if they have amnesty eligibility. Beginning on July 15th, eligible taxpayers may opt-in to the amnesty program, make amnesty payments, and enter into an amnesty payment plan. At a minimum, individuals must have at least $100 in eligible liabilities, and $500 for businesses, to qualify for a payment plan.
