Jamie B. Dameron
I help businesses and individuals overcome environmental risks and liability in transactions and manage their day-to-day regulatory compliance challenges. Through risk planning including audit assistance, appropriate voluntary disclosures, agency settlement negotiations and pollution prevention options, we can work together with the common goal of turning compliance hurdles into cost-effective best practices. For cleanup liabilities and any exposure concerns such as vapor intrusion, I identify a variety of funding and risk-minimization options to help structure a deal and move your transaction forward. And when regulatory, contract, insurance coverage and environmental cost recovery disputes arise, I have the experience to litigate the complex environmental issues.
Environmental law is technical. I know that first-hand due to my experience as a licensed professional geologist. Before practicing law, I managed and performed environmental projects for ten years under the CWA, RCRA, CERCLA, and state environmental programs throughout the Midwest. I have hands-on perspective that helps frame the practical and technical considerations of environmental laws that impact you.
